Consistent quality is what we strive for. Record Industry uses custom formulated virgin vinyl, manufactured to our specifications. Our toluene free compound has the lowest surface noise known in the vinyl industry. It is more environmentally friendly compared to other types of compound because of the lack of toluene and other materials such as lead. Therefore it can be used for manufacturing according the EC environmental guidelines for 2015.
We offer a large variety of vinyl colors to choose from. With transparent and opaque colors available, we're confident that you will find the perfect color for your release.
We can mix all available colors on demand, however the outcome cannot be guaranteed and can differ per order. On our 12" and 10" presses, mixing colors can result in a flamed effect, but on our 7" presses it will result in a new color (due to a different mixing and heating process in the press itself).
It is also possible to combine colors in one order, for example 200 black, 200 red and 200 blue, without any extra charges other than the set-up charges and the standard extra charges per record for colored vinyl (please check 'costs').
Note: Although our colored vinyl has a very high quality standard, audio pressed on non-black vinyl is more susceptible to higher noise levels and/or clicks in the lead-in and lead-out grooves, or on quiet parts of the recording.
